About

I approach our therapeutic relationship as fertile ground for vital growth and mutual learning, taking an integrative, holistic approach focused on deep and meaningful change in addition to symptom reduction.

I have two decades of experience in working with people moving through attachment trauma, PTSD, depression and concerns related to identity and connection. I am bilingual in Spanish and enjoy working with people who are feeling stuck or alienated. Prior to private practice, I worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings such as the Menninger Clinic in Houston, TX, where I supervised clinical interns and fellows.

My work is psychodynamically oriented, encouraging the active exploration of the blind spots which contribute to suffering and dysfunctional patterns. I am in advanced training for clinical Psychoanalysis at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies Houston, and completed a two-year post graduate training program in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Institute.

I am committed to fostering and developing a clinical community dedicated to psychoanalytic work. I am the Clinic Director for Depth Counseling in Austin and Houston, and I currently serve as the President-Elect of the Houston Psychoanalytic Association. I was also an adjunct professor at the University of Houston’s Graduate School of Social Work.

I am aware that one’s suffering may take on different forms and levels of urgency which may call for different approaches. I offer somatic, cognitive and mindfulness-based treatment approaches such as EMDR, ERP, ACT and trauma-informed yoga. I hold a certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research from the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research (CPTR) California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy as part of my practice.

Together, we will collaborate to form a unique healing journey to suit your needs. .
